Kilimanjaro’s footgear is developed on polyurethane soles (PU Soles), making them ideal for softer terrain, but with non-slip feature, they are good for wet or slick surfaces. Moreover, PU soles are generally resistant to abrasion making them suitable for rugged terrain. Also, PU soles are generally used in making snow trekking footgear.
Kilimanjaro footgear is, therefore, suitable for multiple terrain OR we call them MULTI-TERRAIN SoleTech.

The great Indian artisans develop Kilimanjaro footgear with their hands, using machinery minimally.

The story of Kilimanjaro traces its journey to Auckland, New Zealand where one of our Indian co-
founders started designing footgear for Indians living there. With initial success, the founders
decided to establish their business in India to provide Indians with ergonomically designed and technologically sound footgear – a mix of CHEM-KIN EC Booster Technology and MULTI TERRAIN SoleTech.

We take pride in developing our footgear in India. The production is distributed among small-scale cottage artisans who have been trained to develop at international standards. The raw material is also sourced locally. We are vocal for local.

Generally, we tend to purchase different footwear for different purposes. At Kilimanjaro, same footgear can be used for several purposes such as adventure walk, casual wear, and orthopaedic wear – extra soft cushioning provides relief to people suffering from foot pain, knee pain etc. This helps you in saving your hard-earned money and saves space in your shoe rack.
